YuanFeng LightingGILE 2026
See the details that were already there

From June 9–12, 2026, YuanFeng Lighting presented at the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition. With an Italian Renaissance-inspired pavilion, sculpture, painting and contemporary displays were placed in light. From the curves of the body to color on canvas, from material texture to spatial contrast, the exhibition invited visitors to slow down and notice the details already present.
Fragments of the Body
At the entrance, a torso sculpture appears as a fragment. The transitions of shoulder, chest and abdomen emerge between light and shadow, making the preserved section of the body the first form encountered. Further inside, a sculpted head rests on a pedestal, where curls, forehead and facial contours invite observation at a more intimate scale.

From Form to Image
Beyond sculpture, Van Gogh’s self-portrait shifts attention toward painting. The relief of three-dimensional surfaces becomes brushwork and color on canvas, extending observation from outline to finer visual detail.
The Renaissance provides the pavilion’s design context, while the display brings together artistic images from different periods. Torso fragments, sculpted heads and self-portraiture meet here, with the way light reveals form and surface becoming a continuous theme.

From Form to Optics
Spheres, cones and cubes return observation to basic forms. Light transitions gradually across curved surfaces, edges define light and dark, and shadows extend across the wall. These simple objects make the direction, layers and boundaries of light visible.
The YuanFeng fault-tolerant optics diagram on the adjacent wall offers the brand’s response to this way of seeing: preserve visual information, natural texture, smooth light-shadow transitions and consistency across viewing angles. Visual fidelity, system reliability and predictable results all contribute to lasting visual comfort.

Materials Worth Looking At
Beyond artistic imagery, hats, footwear and handbags form an everyday display. A dark background concentrates attention as fine textiles, leather grain and surface sheen are revealed. Light creates hierarchy between objects while preserving the distinct character of each material.
From sculpture and painting to objects in commercial spaces, YuanFeng focuses on whether details can be seen clearly and whether people can maintain a stable, comfortable visual experience while moving, pausing and looking over time.

Carrying Design Intent into the Built Space
The viewing experience ultimately returns to luminaires and optical components. The GUAN series’ modular optics, aiming and installation structure, Fangshao’s unified structural platform, and the VON, QON and Tracko configurations for different applications demonstrate YuanFeng’s integrated approach to optics and structure.
This research continues into real projects. Faced with changing spatial conditions and inevitable installation tolerances, fault-tolerant optics aims to reduce their impact on the visual result so design intent can be realized more consistently in use. A moment of observation in the pavilion thus connects with the long-term everyday life of a space.

A Mark Made by Light
From the point of a spotlight to a continuous line of light and then the plane of space, YuanFeng distills this lighting language into its identity. The circle and diagonal line echo the brand’s letter Y.
